Some say it’s impossible for cyberbullying to terminate, I disagree. I’ve met somebody 3years ago, he’s been very passionate not bullying people but seeing what’s good and worthy of praise in every woman in the pageant industry. He’s a writer/blogger, pageant enthusiast, he is Norman Tinio. www.normannorman.com
It wasn’t hard befriending this intelligent and sweet man, I remember our long conversation last year on the topic of writing, and right there I recognized why he’s making it well in the blogging society. He mentioned to me that some people would think it’s bias when he doesn’t have anything not-so-nice to talk about. Actually, it’s given, we all have flaws, but Norman chooses to look at the good stuff. He reminds me of the verse in Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” See what pleasing words can do? It gives grace, life and beauty! There is indeed power in every word we utter.
Here are 3 more Biblical truths on the words we speak:
Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” This is why we should be careful with what we say and what we tell people they are, for we may encounter it ourselves.
Matthew 12:36-27 “I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” There’s judgement, not in the pageant or any contest, but in due time we are all accountable to our every word.
Proverbs 12:18 “There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” I believe in this, words of affirmation can brighten up anyone’s day. If we’ll only see the good in everything there won’t be a reason for us to hate and be a bully.
To see the good is only possible when we see and encounter the maker of all good things, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who gave Himself to die for our sins. The man who lived the life we should’ve lived and died the death we should’ve died. Three days later He rose from the dead, proving He’s the Son of God and offering the gift of Salvation and forgiveness of sins to anyone who repents and believes in Him.
To the cyberbullies, hmm… I love you! This entry is for you. Have an awesome Holy Week and Holy Life to us all! 😘
